Thaddeus Mac: From fantastic snacks, to the most beautiful beer - this has to be Lille's number 1 spot.We visited in September, on night 1 and night 6 of our stay. On night 6, we dabbled with the Carolina Reaper Stout at 12%. It is easily the best thing that I have ever tasted. It is strong, so be careful, if you see it on your visit.The staff are fun and friendly. The atmosphere is polite with a mix of nationalities. I met Brits, Aussies and of course, lots of lovely people from Lille.The music playlist is perfect. From ambient beats, to indie music to lo-fi and IDM. It makes for quite the evening.Food is available, including a beautiful Aubergine Caviar for us vegetarians. If I remember rightly, at only 6eur for a pot and bread.Disabled access friendly. Lower floor for extra seating. In the heart of the old town.

James Pollock: We visited La Capsule a few times during our trip to Lille. It is small and narrow but there are more seats downstairs. Over 20 different taps full of excellent French, Belgian, and other European beers. Perfect for craft beer lovers. Friendly staff to boot. They also have a bottle shop close by with even more choice of beers. Even picked up a couple Cantillon bottles from there.

Bonne ambiance, bon choix de bière (et même un cidre en pression), la cuisine propose des planches sympathiques avec des recettes qui tournent. Le petit plus l'été étant la terrasse à l'arrière. Parfait pour passer un bon moment entre amis !

Sylvain: Selection of PMU beers, the best being the brewdog IPA but out of stock... In short, we fall back on the youngest IPA which is far from delicious but "it does the trick" for the evening.On the payment side, it's a pain with the payment limit by credit card at €8 minimum, I don't understand why in 2023 we are still bothered by this, even my baguette at €1.30 I buy it with credit card, I can't wait that cash disappears.On the terrace side, despite the lack of sun, it's still nice.
