Simon Richards: On the upside, Jack and Sophie were very helpful. The apartment was well equipped and the rooms were generally clean. Communal indoor areas also well kept.The main downside is the location of Sohosuite. The Wazemmes district is very run-down. The women in our group (who are very used to city life) didn't feel safe walking around after dark, even accompanied. There were always gangs of unemployed men about, selling smuggled goods and being loud (even late at night you hear them in the apartment). We saw the police arrest some. Some properties are boarded up, there is graffiti and waste is dumped on the street. We saw some homeless, and begging. Yes Lille is a city, but Wazemmes is the poorest area that we came across in the city. Area around Gambetta station is very different.Also, the second bedroom (two beds) in apartment 202 (and possibly others) has no outside wall and so no source of fresh air. So, in August/September we could rarely sleep, even with the fan on, as it was so hot and airless.On a minor point, I found a long black hair (wouldn't be ours) in my bed and there were bundles of dust under the beds.
lea andreyitch: Stay booked at the last minute. Very clean and beautiful apartment with everything available! Everything is the same as advertised on TripAdvisor. The metro next door is simply the best of the best. The managers respond quickly and to all requests. You won't miss anything, everything is there! We were lucky to have found a spot down the street. Indeed, there is no parking but when you find your pkace, you no longer need this one. We will be back for sure!

However there was a slight smell of sewage coming through the bathroom window making it all smell a bit unpleasant unless you leave the windows open and we didn't think to use the insect repellant provided and got bitten!

lee sent: Stayed in the NOCNOC’s Retro apartment for 4 nights and enjoyed it very much! Right in the centre of Lille, which is close to everything by foot. Easy check-in/ out using a code (key no needed which is super convenient), the place is spacious, lighted and contains well equipped kitchen w all the instruments u need to make a good breakfast, lunch and dinner. The bed was big and comfortable, the bathroom was great as well. Also, I would like to command Caroline, my host, which was kind, available for any question and so caring (she even brought in a fan and a coffee capsules). I would definitely book this apartment (or their other locations in France) again in the future! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
