Chino GTR: J’adore ce bar, j’y vais depuis des années , mais là dernière visite fût plutôt très désagréable.Le bar ferme normalement a 02h , à 01h20 plus de service , et surtout plus de musique!Et un type ressemblant au force de sécurité passe avec des gobelets plastique à 01h30 pour te faire mettre ta consommation dedans et t’invites prestement à partir.Ce n’est pas comme ça que j’ai connu le farafina……

Thaddeus Mac: From fantastic snacks, to the most beautiful beer - this has to be Lille's number 1 spot.We visited in September, on night 1 and night 6 of our stay. On night 6, we dabbled with the Carolina Reaper Stout at 12%. It is easily the best thing that I have ever tasted. It is strong, so be careful, if you see it on your visit.The staff are fun and friendly. The atmosphere is polite with a mix of nationalities. I met Brits, Aussies and of course, lots of lovely people from Lille.The music playlist is perfect. From ambient beats, to indie music to lo-fi and IDM. It makes for quite the evening.Food is available, including a beautiful Aubergine Caviar for us vegetarians. If I remember rightly, at only 6eur for a pot and bread.Disabled access friendly. Lower floor for extra seating. In the heart of the old town.

James Pollock: We visited La Capsule a few times during our trip to Lille. It is small and narrow but there are more seats downstairs. Over 20 different taps full of excellent French, Belgian, and other European beers. Perfect for craft beer lovers. Friendly staff to boot. They also have a bottle shop close by with even more choice of beers. Even picked up a couple Cantillon bottles from there.

Each visit brings its share of bad surprises: The small basket of bread for the "plateau" (a plate, in reality) is clearly not provided enough, and you have to pay 1€ again to get more.The management's motives: to avoid waste, limited quantity of bread, are contradictory given that we are not going to eat cheese or meat alone, so we waste meat and cheese...In addition, we are sent around with a familiar tone, which is not necessarily very professional.In short, we really feel taken for bells, and it does not make you want to come back or consume more.The bar and its concept deserve much better, but unfortunately we feel that it is old-fashioned and abandoned, and that the slightest saving is necessary to avoid falling into ruin.
